My thoughts

The world building in this book was very creative. Necromancers piloting vampires around was something new to me but very interesting. If your looking for sexy vamps this might not be the book for you.

Kate is a likeable character that's not overconfident. She seems to really know her strengths and weaknesses. Magic Bites is a great start for a series I definitely can't wait to find out more about Kate , Curran and meet new characters.

I would give this a 4 out of 5

I would definitely recommend this book.

My review

rating: 4 of 5 stars
I haven't read a historical book in a while but I saw this mentioned on blogs and was interested right away. I decided to buy it and definitely wasn't disappointed. I loved the budding relationship between Maggie and Garrett. This was a great story with alot of action bringing back my love of cowboys and western books. Maggie is such a strong character having to deal with all she went through. I'll have to pick up the others in the series since both Maggie and Garrett make appearances.

If you like historical westerns I would recommend this book.
